We are chartered by Pflugerville Community Church.
Pack 406 is in the Blackland Prairie District of the Capitol Area Council.
Plan and conduct monthly pack meetings with the help of any Assistant Cubmasters
Work with the pack committee on developing program ideas, selecting and recruiting adult leaders, and establishing a budget plan
Guide and support den leaders, and see that they receive the required training for their positions
Maintain good relationships with parents, guardians, and BSA troops to seek their support and include them in activities
Highly encouraged to attend monthly district roundtable meetings
Attends monthly parent meetings
Fills in for Cubmaster in their absence
Helps run Pack Meetings
Helps on campouts
Can have a related second position

Works with the Cubmaster for support
Plan and conduct monthly parent meetings
Conduct annual pack planning meeting as well as annual budget
Appoint and support committee members, and see that they receive the required training for their positions
Finalize and communicate event details to pack members
Highly encouraged to attend monthly district roundtable meetings
Work closely with the Chartered Org rep and the Cubmaster to help maintain a great program
Maintain the pack bank account and report the financial information at monthly parent meetings
Collect and document all monies coming in and going out using Scoutbook and the excel spreadsheet for maintaining the pack checkbook
Maintain pack roster used for tracking
Communicate kindly with parents regarding outstanding payments
Develop annual budget
Attends monthly parent and pack meetings
Works closely with the Committee Chair
Attends monthly parent meetings
Takes and distributes minutes for the Pack Committee Meetings; saves in the appropriate shared drive and on discord general channel
Organizes forms collected by the Pack
Supports New Member Chair
Works with both Committee Chair and Activities Chair
Assures that all leaders are current on their training
Informs committee when training opportunities are available
Ensures all parents have their YPT training
Attends monthly parent meetings

Plan and conduct meetings for a specific den/grade level (typically their own scout is in that den)
Manage the communications (emails, texts, calls, etc) within the den parents of the scouts
Work with parents to help all scouts complete their requirements to achieve their rank

Work together with committee and Cubmaster to ensure team atmosphere
One Den Parent per Den
Consistently attends Den Meetings
Contact person for collecting payments, forms, shirt sizes, etc
Distribute information to Den Parents
Spokesperson for the parents of the Den
Works with Den Leader for support and available to step in if needed
Track scouts’ advancements in scoutbook
Purchase scouts’ awards, trophies, and supplies from the Scout Shop prior to each monthly Pack Meeting
Organize and label all awards per scout, and bring awards to the Pack Meeting
Work with parents to help all scouts complete their requirements to achieve their rank
Submit monthly award receipts to the treasurer and notify them when the scout shop balance is low
Works closely with Cubmaster and Treasurer
Works with Committee Chair, Special Events and Cubmaster
Keeps up with Pack 406’s social media, website, and submits articles to newspaper
Work with the pack committee on developing event ideas, selecting and recruiting event teams, and
working within a budget for each event
Help establish and work with Event Lead and subcommittees to balance workload and ensure deadlines are met and events are successful
Maintains sign in sheets for events to ensure scouts get credit for participation
Attends monthly committee meetings
Helps with recruitment nights at the schools (8-10 per site)
Answers parent’s questions at the JSN as well as takes payments and applications
Encourage scouts to come and help with greeting at the door and help pass out supplies
The more volunteers new parents see, the more it sets the expectation of helping out
Works with New Member Coordinator for support
Works closely with the Cubmaster
Inform parents/leaders of camping opportunities offered by the council, district, and pack
Plans and coordinates camping trips including registration and payment for sites
Coordination of the pack day-of camping schedule
Recruit, assign and encourage Den participation in pack coordinate activities
Collect attendees and interest in camping activities.
Take the lead on any camping related item or activity
Submit needed registration and request to council as needed. Ensure camping site is an approved location as required by council - https://www.bsacac.org/activities/camping/pack-camping/
Be knowledgeable and ensure Guide to Save Scouting is followed
Help promote Cub Scout camping
Maintains inventory and condition of pack supplies
Communicates when we need supplies replenished
Works with Activities Chairman to ensure adequate supplies for events
Organize monthly hikes
Track miles
Adds beads to awards at the monthly Pack Meetings
Welcomes new families to our Pack
Prepares new parent packets
Schedules recruitment at assigned schools at the beginning of the school year
Involve other adult leaders in recruitment activity
Handles questions for possible new families that come in through email, phone calls or BeAScout.org
