Yes, the Candle Factory is free but they prefer that groups call ahead if you want to actually see candles being made as business is rather slow right now and they aren't making candles each day. Tell the kids and adults to bring money and spend it so my wife, Linda, will be able to keep her job as Office Manager there. :-)

Water Education FestElect. 34 & 47Ach. 7a & 7eElec. 15

Water Education Fest (used to be Blue Thumb Day!) is held at Fiesta Gardens and specifically focused toward the 5th and 6th graders. Since 9/11, Water Treatment plant tours cannot be a part of our events and in addition several years of budget cuts have created a need to really specifically focus on our education programs Water In Our World and Down the Drain. This event is really a third leg of the education program where the kids can do hands-on experiments underscoring the idea of environmental stewardship.

If you are interested, the event will be on April 28 and April 29, 2005 and I would love to invite you to come out and volunteer for a couple of hours if you are interested.

Please don't hesitate to call me at 972-0147 or contact me if you have any questions or need any further information. If you want to forward your mailing address I will send you some information as well. Thanks again,

Suzanne Gilchrist
